President’s Note – September 2011

This month is a time of remembrance with the ten year anniversary of September 11th approaching. Please pray for our country, those affected by the tragedy and for our soldiers who still fight for our freedom and protection. Display your flags; wear red, white and blue; and stand tall as proud American’s.

A big thank you goes out to Linda Tefft for hosting a great picnic last month. We had a good time talking with friends, had a productive meeting and ate some great food together. We also managed to pack up and at least start for home before the rains came. Lee and I had some hail on the way home and I am betting some others did as well, but we could not have asked for better timing.

We have a couple of cruises as a club coming up this month. We will go to Olcott Beach Classic Car Show on September 3rd. Meet at Brueger’s Bagels on Latta at Long Pond at 7:30 am. On September 10th, we will meet for the Brockport Cuise-In sponsored by Brockport Lions Club and hold our meeting there as well. Meet at our house at 2:15 pm.  Think about a meeting place for the Hilton Apple Fest on October 1st.

This summer is coming to a close very quickly. Lee really hoped to have his car on the road, but it is just not coming together as quickly as he would like. Good things take time.

See you at the cruise,
Claudia Manchester
